It all began with the idea to bring Christmas to 150 children in a village close to Merida, Mexico. We were asking for a donation of $10 to buy one toy for 150 kids. That first year we were so extremely grateful that, thanks to you, we surpassed our goal by more than double and we were able to give gifts to over 400 children!! The next year we researched communities that were in desperate need and were not receiving any help. We found an area about 3 hours from the city that had three small towns close together and after speaking to the church and confirming the need in these villages, we decided to give it a try. Thanks to our donors, it was a huge success and we have continued to bring Christmas to over 265 children and 160 families yearly!!

Over the years we have gotten to know the people from the three small towns we are able to visit. We have seen the children grow up. We have welcomed more babies and we get to see the excitement of everyone when the bus rolls in full of toys, food hampers and goodwill. We video the event and take pictures every year as we think it is important that, you, our donors, get to see where your donation goes and get to be a part of this very special day. Plus, getting to see the smiles you are putting on the children’s faces is something wonderful.

It is all about the kids! We give gifts to children from babies to 12 years old and this is something they look forward to every year. The kids make all the hard work worth it. For many, this event is their first experience of Christmas. If we did not do this, unfortunately, their families are not able to afford to buy them a Christmas present. Thanks to YOU these children receive a toy every year. We are also grateful, that with your donations, we are able to give a food hamper to each family that is filled with basic necessities. The Mom’s are so thankful for their children’s gifts but also for your help of putting food on the table at this special time of year.
What We Do
Since 2012, we have been bringing a little Christmas to needy families in poor towns around Yucatan, Mexico. With the help of family and friends we are able to create parties for the children and families of the towns.
Each child in the rural villages of Mérida, Yucatán, receives their own gift along with a bag filled with candy, juice and cookies. We will also be able to give each family a food hamper that is filled with rice, beans, soup and other staples.
